School Bus Safety

When you send your child to school in a bus from Miss Sue's, you can rest assured that they are in good hands. Below are some school bus safety tips to keep in mind.
  • Walk slowly and hold onto the railing when entering the bus.
  • Children should remain seated during the bus ride.
  • Do not shout or talk loudly on the bus. It could distract the bus driver.
  • Before exiting the bus, make sure that you have all of your personal belongings with you. This could include a backpack or a lunch bag.
  • Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before standing.
  • Walk and hold onto the railing when exiting the bus. You should never run when exiting the bus.
Transportation for your children to and from Miss Sue's is provided by vehicles owned and operated by the school. All of our drivers have a Commercial Drivers’ License.  We carry maximum insurance for each child. In addition, all buses are fully equipped with cell phones and seat belts. Each month, buses are inspected by a qualified bus mechanic. The New York State Department of Transportation independently inspects each vehicle three times a year as well. All of this is done to ensure your child's safety. If you are interested in enrolling your child at Miss Sue's Nursery School, call  516-938-0894 today.
