Water Safety Tips for Toddlers

Some children have an affinity for the water. While spending time in the water can be fun, it is important for each child to be safe when doing so. Below are some water safety tips for toddlers.
  • It is always a good idea for children to attend professional swimming lessons. After all, each child should learn the correct way to swim at an early age.
  • Be sure to give your child the proper safety gear. Children should wear floaties or goggles in the pool.
  • When your child is in the water, they should be supervised at all times. It is important to give your undivided attention.
  • Remind children that running near a pool is unsafe and not allowed.
  • Advise children to stay in the shallow end of the pool.
We hope that the tips above will keep your child safe in the water this summer. Once the summer is over, your child may be eligible for nursery school. Looking for a superior nursery school on Long Island? If so, choose Miss Sue's Nursery School! Don't wait until the summer is over to enroll. Call 516-938-0894 today to inquire about enrollment.
