The Curriculum at Miss Sue's Nursery School

Have you ever heard the expression that children soak information up like a sponge? Well, they do! Studies show that children learn the most information in the first 4 years. That's why choosing a good nursery school is so important. Below is a breakdown of the curriculum at Miss Sue's.

Math
We introduce children to the wonderful world of math. We concentrate on the concepts of numbers, shapes, patterns and measurements. In addition (no pun intended), we teach them how to count and sequence numbers.

Science
We also teach children science concepts. Topics such as predictions, weather, colors, time, nature and experiments are covered in our curriculum.

Language & Literacy
It is imperative for all children to expand their vocabularies. In addition to exposing them to new words, we teach them about rhyme, rhythm and letter recognition.

At Miss Sue’s Nursery School, our prime educational goal is the development of the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. A multi-sensory, wholistic approach to learning is provided through play, art, music and physical activities. Please call us for an appointment or with any questions (24 hours/7 days a week) at 516-938-0894.
