Snow Day Crafts For Kids

Snow days are all fun and games - that is until the kids are done playing outside and it’s time for you to entertain them for the rest of the day. Subsequently, snow days quickly turn from an exciting day off to a battle of the child versus the parent. Luckily, there are plenty of crafts to help keep your children - and you - happy while you wait out what’s (hopefully) the last storm of the season.

Paper Snowflakes: These don’t have to be a bore; there are so many patterns to explore. You can also take your snowflake to the next level and add watercolor and oil pastels to the design.

Paper Bag Monsters: Make it a monsters themed snow day. Make these fun paper bag monster puppets while having a Monsters Inc. movie marathon in the background.

Rock Candy: Do you taste that? It’s the taste of science! Your kids will get to learn about the crystallization process while also creating some yummy rock candy at the same time.

Marshmallow Catapults: All you need is a plastic spoon, rubber bands, and popsicle sticks and you’re guaranteed a happy camper.
