Health Tips For Children This Spring

Can you believe that today is the first day of spring? We can't either! Even though Mother Nature is not cooperating today, warmer weather is just around the corner. Below are some tips to stay healthy this spring.

Dealing With Allergies
Ah-ah-ah-CHOO! If you hear this a lot come springtime, your child's allergies are flaring up. To keep allergies at bay, keep allergy medicine and tissues with you.

Fun In The Sun
When the weather is nice, children are more inclined to spend time outdoors. Even if it is not a particularly sunny day, your child should always wear sunscreen. There is absolutely no exception to this rule!

Creepy Crawlers
Spending time in the great outdoors will also expose your little ones to creepy crawlers. If your child gets an insect bite of some sort, be sure to clean it thoroughly. Children who experience heavy breathing, fainting or vomiting due to the bite should get medical help immediately.

Once the weather gets nice, we will be able to enjoy the outdoor facilities at Miss Sue's. We have a large, fenced-in and safe outdoor play area. It's fully equipped with swing, a climbing helicopter and boat, a giant sandbox, a state-of-the-art playground and a soccer field. All of this is specifically designed to encourage independence and improve muscular coordination. If this is the kind of facility you would like your child to attend, call 516-938-0894 today.
