Play Nursery School
It is no secret that children love to play make believe. Pretend that you and your child are in the new nursery school! Take turns acting out the student and teacher roles.

Visit The School
We invite you to visit our school and see our program in action. This will help your child know what to expect. That way, they won't feel as anxious on the first day.

Practice Your Goodbye Ritual
Dropping a child off on their first day at a new nursery school can be difficult. To make it a little bit easier, practice your goodbye ritual beforehand. Reassure your child that you will see them after school. It can ease their separation anxiety.

The Purpose of Nursery School

Our students engage in playtime each day. While this may seem like fun and games, it is so much more than that. Nursery school has a purpose. Keep reading to find out what that is.

Independence
Prior to nursery school, children are extremely reliant on their parents. Once a child goes to nursery school, they will take responsibility for themselves and their actions. It can foster a sense of independence.

Prepping for Kindergarten
Sending your child to nursery school also preps your child for kindergarten. They will learn how to behave in a classroom setting. This will only make the transition to kindergarten even easier.

A Lifetime of Success
A child learns the most information in the first 4 years. They can process and learn new information at a very rapid pace. You need to trust these special years in your child's development to a superior nursery school. It will help ensure your child's success in life. Miss Sue's can help you child do just that.

Reasons Why Nursery School Matters

Do you want to prepare your child for a lifetime of academic success? If so, enrolling them in a high quality nursery school is the first step. Below are some additional reasons why nursery school matters.

It Gives Them An Advantage Over Other Children
Studies have shown that children who attend nursery school have an advantage over those who do not. For example, children who have gone to nursery school have learned about numbers, shapes and the alphabet. It is no surprise that these children tend to have better math and reading skills.

The Opportunity To Socialize With Others
Attending nursery school gives children to opportunity to socialize with their peers. It is a great place for children to make friends. Being around other students in a classroom environment will prepare them for kindergarten.

The Long Term Benefits of Attending Nursery School
The benefits of attending nursery school do not end once the child graduates. In fact, children who graduate from nursery school are more likely to graduate from high school and college.

At Miss Sue's Nursery School, we go to great lengths to provide your children the best education available. That's why we have been voted the "Best Nursery School" for the past six years! We invite you to visit our school and see our program in action. Please call us for an appointment or with any questions (24 hours/7 days a week) at 516-938-0894.
