Life Skills Every Child Should Learn

When your child attends Miss Sue's Nursery School, they will learn more than just the basics. Our prime goal is the overall development of the child- physically, emotionally, socially and educationally. We achieve this by instilling important life lessons.

Communication Skills
Toddlers are always learning new words. We encourage children to communicate their thoughts and feelings. When they learn to do so at an early age, it prepares them for grade school and college.

Technical Skills
In today's society, it is imperative for children to learn about technology. Within each classroom, our learning centers contain computers and a smart board. They will develop 21st century skills in no time!

Problem Solving Skills
It is important for children to make mistakes. It gives them the opportunity to correct the situation at hand. In return, it will strengthen their problem solving skills.

The first few years of your child's life have a big impact on their overall development. You need to trust these special years to a superior nursery school. If you want to invest in your child's future, choose Miss Sue's Nursery School. Call 516-938-0894 today to inquire about enrollment.

How Children Benefit From Playing Sports

At Miss Sue's, our prime educational goal is the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally and physically. One way in which the child is developed physically is through sports. Below are some of the benefits children will reap from participating in sports.

Physically
Young children who attend nursery school are starting to develop motor skills. Sports help children get stronger and more flexible. That's why our outdoor facilities were specifically designed to foster muscular coordination.

Socially
Nursery school provides children their first opportunity to interact with their peers. When we play sports at Miss Sue's, it also helps them learn about cooperation and teamwork. Every game is a win-win situation!

Emotionally
Since sports are a new concept to most children, it is something they must learn and get the hang of. Once a child masters a new skill, it can boost their self-confidence.

We have a large, fenced-in and safe outdoor play area. It's fully equipped with swing, a climbing helicopter and boat, a giant sandbox, a state-of-the-art playground and a soccer field. All of this is specifically designed to encourage independence and improve muscular coordination. If this is the kind of facility you would like your child to attend, call 516-938-0894 today.
