How We Encourage Children To Express Themselves

At Miss Sue's Nursery School, we understand that each child is unique. We also realize that each child will express their thoughts, feelings and emotions in different ways. Below are some of the ways we encourage self-expression.

Expression Through The Arts
We introduce the arts to children at a young age. That way, they can express themselves in a healthy way. We let the children experiment with art through easel and finger painting, paper mache, clay, and playdough. Children are exposed to theater through puppet theater and dramatic play. Last but certainly not least, the children listen to music and play with rhythm instruments.

Allow Children To Discover Their Interests
There are so many activities for children to choose from at Miss Sue's. Children are exposed to crafts, computers, games, books and sports. We understand that each child will favor certain activities more than others. We always encourage children to pursue activities that they genuinely enjoy.

Our prime educational goal is the development of the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. A multi-sensory, wholistic approach to learning is provided through play, art, music and physical activities. If you are interested in enrolling your child at Miss Sue's, call 516-938-0894 today.
