- Establish a morning routine with your child. It is important to give your child enough time to get ready. They are less likely to feel rushed or anxious.
- Coordinate play dates with other children in the class. It will help your child develop social skills.
- If your child is having a tough time with separation anxiety, give them a personal belonging of yours. That way, they know you will come back at the end of the school day to retrieve it.
- Is this the first time you are leaving your child in someone else's care? If so, it is a good idea to allow family members and friends to watch your child for a long weekend.
