Classes Offered at Miss Sue’s



Is your child ready for preschool but you don’t know where to start? Miss Sue’s offers an array of classes to meet every child’s and parent’s needs. We treat each student as an individual and encourage personal growth and development through group and independent lessons, learning centers and play. We’re excited for the start of another fun school year. Come join us in one of our three classes offered:





Explorers Class
Who: This class is for our youngest students.
When: 2-5 days per week from either 9-12 pm or 1-4 pm.
What We Offer: This program focuses on using age appropriate organized games and activities, independent play, music, movement, art, and a variety of educational tools and toys. The Explorers class provides an excellent educational head start as our students begin learning colors, numbers, letters, shapes, patterns, language, science and more.  Our learning centers and creative play areas allow our students to foster their social, physical and emotional development while engaging their senses and building a solid educational foundation.


Nursery Class
Who: This class is for our three year old students.
When: 2-5 days per week from either 9-12 pm or 1-4 pm.
What We Offer: Our students are presented with opportunities to build and develop their scholastic skills and educational foundations, along with improving social and language skills, independence, maturity, emotional development, and fine and gross motor skills.
Utilizing modern teaching methods and our innovative curriculum, we focus on the individual needs of each and every student while a variety of topics, all designed to foster a love of learning in our students and to give them an educational advantage upon entering public school.


Pre-K Class
Who: This class is for our oldest students, mainly four year olds, preparing for Kindergarten.
When: 2-5 days per week from either 9-12 pm or 1-4 pm.
What We Offer: Miss Sue’s addresses each child’s individual needs, helping them meet and exceed the standards of New York’s Common Core Curriculum and the expectations of their future public or private school teachers. Our Pre-K program supports each student as they develop confidence, independence, self-help skills, creativity, and a love of learning.  Lessons include letter and number recognition, reading and writing skills, phonemic awareness expanding vocabulary and so much more. At Miss Sue’s we partner with our student’s parents, enabling us to reinforce and expand the concepts taught, giving our students an advantage during their future schooling and their entire lives.
