Get Crafty This Winter

At Miss Sue's, we love art and crafts. The holidays are a great time of year to get crafty!  Below are some great arts and crafts that can be done at home or in the classroom.

Paper Snowflakes

Take a white piece of paper and fold it into a triangular shape. Then, take a scissor and cut out pieces until you heart is content. Unfold the paper and viola! A snowflake right before your very eyes.

Handprint Tree
Trace the outline of your hand on a piece of green construction paper. This should be done six times. Then, mount the handprints on top of each other in the shape of a tree and glue them together. If you'd like, add a tree trunk with brown construction paper.

Popsicle Stick Snowmen
For this craft, you will need popsicle sticks, paint, markers and some glue. First, paint the popsicle sticks white. Then, draw faces onto the snowmen with markers. To keep them warm, glue pieces of felt around the neck. Glue the buttons onto the snowman's torso. Last but not least, glue his nose on his face.
