What A Child Learns In Nursery School

There is no denying that nursery school is an important part of a child's development. At Miss Sue's Nursery School, we take early childhood education seriously. You might be wondering, "What will my child learn at Miss Sue's?" We are here to answer that question and set the record straight.

Language Arts
Toddlers in nursery school are still developing and growing. They are also learning how to grow their vocabulary as well. Children will learn the 26 letters in the alphabet. They will also learn about the concept of upper case and lower case letters.

Math
It is important for children to understand math concepts--even at an early age. At Miss Sue's, we teach children about numbers and the concept of counting.

Art
When your child draws or paints a picture, it is helping them develop motor skills. In addition, it allows them to express feelings and emotions without speaking.

At Miss Sue’s Nursery School, our prime educational goal is the development of the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. A multi-sensory, wholistic approach to learning is provided through play, art, music and physical activities. Please call us for an appointment or with any questions (24 hours/7 days a week) at 516-938-0894.
