​Winter Safety Tips for Children

It is officially winter! That can only mean one thing--cold weather is on its way. Below are some winter safety tips that will keep your children safe and warm this season.

Dress for the Occasion
Winters on Long Island can be very chilly. It is very important that you dress your children accordingly. On cold days, they should wear a winter jacket, warm boots, gloves, a scarf and mittens.

How to Stay Healthy
You are more likely to get sick during the cold winter months. To avoid the common cold and the flu, be sure to wash your hands frequently. It is also a good idea to cough or sneeze into the of your elbow. This can prevent the spreading of illnesses.
