The History of Miss Sue's Nursery School

Miss Sue's has been around for over 50 years. That's a long time! Are you interested in learning about how it all began? If so, keep reading to learn about the history of Miss Sue's Nursery School.

Humble Beginnings
Sue Kuznetz founded Miss Sue's in 1958. Classes were originally held at her home in the basement. Word quickly spread throughout the community about her groundbreaking curriculum and teaching methods.

Time To Expand
The basement could no longer keep up with the demands of her many students. In 1968, she bought a house on Old Country Road and transformed it into Miss Sue's Preschool. In 1968, Sue's son Ronnie decided to help out with the family business.

A Family Legacy
Sue retired in 1975 and moved to Florida. She passed on the torch to Ronnie. It wasn't long before he got his family involved. Ronnie’s daughter and son-in-law, Marissa and Mike Wagenberg, son Mike Kuznetz, and step-son Matt Spolansky help make Miss Sue's what it is today. They are always looking for new teaching methods and educational materials that will enrich the program.

At Miss Sue's Nursery School, we go to great lengths to provide your children the best education available. That's why we have been voted the "Best Nursery School" for the past six years! We invite you to visit our school and see our program in action. Please call us for an appointment or with any questions (24 hours/7 days a week) at 516-938-0894.
